Book Pick: The Network of Thought

The Network of Thought by Jiddu Krishnamurti

The Network of Thought by Jiddu Krishnamurti

Some time ago I made a quick stop at my favorite used book store, Angel City Bookstore, and was instinctively led to this book.

Rocco (Bookstore Owner): Oh Krishnamurti... Me: I don't know much about him, I need to do some research. The book just stood out to me.
Rocco: He was a good one. A thoughtful leader. A great speaker. Everyone wanted him to lead, but he shunned the role and said the only guru people need are themselves.
Me: Sounds perfect.
Rocco: Yeah, your instincts lead you to the right book. Let me know what you think...

From Wikipedia:
"Jiddu Krishnamurti was a speaker and writer on matters that concerned mankind. In his early life he was groomed to be the new World Teacher but later rejected this mantle and withdrew from the organisation behind it. His subject matter included psychological revolution, the nature of mind, meditation, inquiry, human relationships, and bringing about radical change in society. He constantly stressed the need for a revolution in the psyche of every human being and emphasised that such revolution cannot be brought about by any external entity, be it religious, political, or social."

I'll follow up with some thoughts... Also, the title and serendipitous nature of finding this book is not lost on me. :)
